Her work primarily incorporates music (singer, songwriter, composer and DJ), writing/social commentary and visual art.

Lola’s life and work spans continents and cultures. Based in New York City, she is of British upbringing and Nigerian heritage.
A lifelong musician and former music scholar, Lola began playing piano, alto saxophone and recorder as a child. After graduating from Cambridge University with a degree in Social & Political Science, Lola worked in the music industry in the UK at major and independent labels before moving to New York City. There, she became a well-respected social, political and cultural writer, commentator and broadcaster – contributing analysis on race, culture and society to major networks and publications including MSNBC, CNN, the BBC, The Guardian, Al Jazeera and more – while continuing to cultivate her first loves: music and art.
Descended from a lineage of trendsetters and cultural trailblazers, Lola carries forward this legacy through her artistry, building experiences and curating projects that connect people, ideas and culture across borders.
Lola is a recipient of a 2022/2023 National Arts Club Artist Fellowship.
